Celebrated fashion stylist Bay Garnett and award-winning fashion and reportage photographer Tom Craig are proving that you don’t need to compromise on style when it comes to choosing sustainable fashion in new North Wall exhibition What Are Your Wearing?

Featuring photographs from Oxfam’s Second Hand September campaigns as modelled by Michaela Coel, Sienna Miller, and Stella Tennant with her daughter Iris – this will be a visual feast to inspire the fashion, eco, and cost-conscious, alongside Oxfam-sourced outfits on specially-styled mannequins.

Known as ‘The Queen of Thrift’, Bay Garnett has pioneered the art of sourcing and styling second hand clothes ever since her first charity shoot for Vogue in 2003 with Kate Moss.

Her influence has helped bring the second hand revolution trend into the mainstream, as consumers consider environmental impact as well as personal style in their fashion choices.

Bay became Oxfam’s Senior Independent Fashion Adviser in 2017, has styled the annual Second Hand September campaign since its launch in 2019 and is author of Style and Substance – Why What We Wear Matters.

Celebrated photographer Tom Craig, Bay’s husband, works extensively with fashion publications and designers from Vogue to Louis Vuitton.

He is also former Photographer-in-Residence at the Royal Geographical Society, and has undertaken numerous assignments for charity Médecins Sans Frontières all over the world. He has worked together with his wife, on all of the Second Hand September campaigns.

“Developed with St Edward’s School, we hope the exhibition will be a source of interest and inspiration for all audiences, in particular younger visitors who are the fashion trend-setters and consumers of the future!”
