There are 10 categories and we will be announcing one every day for the next 10 days. These include BEST NEWCOMER, BEST PUB/BAR, BEST CAFE, BEST RESTAURANT, BEST VEGGIE/VEGAN, BEST CHEF, BEST GASTROPUB, BEST EUROPEAN, BEST GLOBAL, BEST COMMUNITY FOOD PROJECT

The top three nominations from each category will be invited to the glittering ceremony where the winners will be announced, so get voting and pick your favourite. You can only vote once in each category so keep voting every day for all 10 categories! Voting ends at the end of March.

Chickpea, Oxford – You can smell the paint still drying this is so new, but this sister cafe to The Vaults and Garden Cafe and The Alpha Bar in the Covered Market is already heaving with youngsters, students and locals all vying for the freshly made, vegan/veggie/plantbased menu featuring pitta and falafel specials which are fantastic value for money. Damascus Rose Kitchen, OFS – The food here in this social enterprise cafe is cooked by female Syrian refugees. Middle-eastern, authentic, veggie/vegan and hugely addictive, it’s also brilliantly priced. What was a pop up in lockdown is now a permanent and fantastic new addition to Oxford’s culinary scene. Delhish, St Clements – Oxford’s first and only vegan Indian Restaurant – all the food here is prepared with love by Jaya. Gardeners Arms, Jericho – a stalwart on the local pub scene and also happens to do an impressive and ample vegan/veggie only menu. Think meat based alternatives and large portions so adored by students and the hungry. The pub has been open for 200 years, the plant based kitchen for 20 years. It’s in it for the long run. Gloucester Green Outdoor Market, Oxford – you will be lost for choice at the bustling, colourful food choices on offer here which runs from Thursday to Saturday. Green Routes Cafe, East Oxford – the coolest cats in town, you’ll always find people queueing outside for their incredible coffee and plant based breakfast and brunch baps (the sloppy Joe is a must), or venture inside for their legendary plant based Full Fonty. Ribizli, Wallingford – been taken over recently but has maintained the same zen ethos. Plant based to the core, it’s a cafe with a relaxed mood and an extensive home-made food menu of soups, wraps, bowls, super shots, cakes and smoothies. Chilled. Vote here https://surveyhero.com/c/qqx4vbr9

Punter, Osney – It’s to only the location that’s perfect here. Yes it has canalised views ensuring a busy summer season, but the menu is elaborate, inventive, global and experimental. Table 13, Wheatley – the sheer inventiveness and conviction of Georgia Gallacher’s cooking knows no bounds. Her in-house supper clubs, seasonal menus and the complexity of her dishes are stunning. V-Giyan, Woodstock – Just when we thought curry couldn’t get any better, Bal Gill comes along with an extraordinarily diverse and 100% plant based Punjabi takeaway option featuring all the classics, some with meat alternatives, some without, and lots of new and exciting dishes to try. White Rabbit, Oxford – has made so many inroads nationally with their gluten free and vegan pizzas that they are now available in supermarkets and other venues around the country.
