Being back on stage again is a dream come true for Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical‘s Rob Fowler and Sharon Sexton.

The show, featuring Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s greatest hits, opens on Monday at Oxford’s New Theatre and Rob and Sharon says it’s definitely worth the wait.

“it’s incredible to be back. There has been such an abundance of love”

“It’s been amazing and really emotional to be back on stage to witness the magic between us and the audience,” Sharon says. “It feels like a brand new show again.”

“I think we’ve all forgotten what joy the theatre brings and how emotive music is as well, so it’s incredible to be back. There has been such an abundance of love. We will never take our jobs for granted.”

Rob Fowler plays Falco while Sharon Sexton is Sloane, plus Killian Thomas Lefevre as Tink, Joelle Moses as Zahara, James Chisholm as Jagwire, Kellie Gnauck as Valkyrie, and Danny Whelan as Ledoux.

The story follows a post apocalyptic world which freezes some of the population in time, set against a Meatloaf soundtrack.

Throw in the dramatic plot, music, dancing, songs such as You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth, Bat Out Of Hell, I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That), a giant live billboard, an Olympic set designer, and of course motorbikes, and you are onto a winner.

“You won’t see anything like this ever again,” Rob promises, “and it feels fresh every night because the show is the star and always evolving.

“So we are really excited about taking the audience into this other world because the overall message in Bat Out Of Hell is one of joy and hope, forgiveness, chasing the dream and falling in love.

“Yes there are dark bits but overall it’s such a high. So fasten your seatbelts and prepare to go on a roller-coaster of emotions. it’s a whole new adventure.”
