The Feathers, Woodstock – has just launched a new takeaway service which includes a spanking roast. ONLY ON SUNDAY – Roasted topside of beef, roasties, crushed root vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, cauliflower cheese, and all for £12. 12-6pm

Jam Factory, Oxford: SUNDAYS AT HOME. Choose from rolled and stuffed fennel porchetta, caramelised apple sauce or Roast beef, Yorkshire pud, horseradish cream or winter root vegetable, spinach, pine nut vegan wellington, all served with roast potatoes, jus/vegan gravy, maple-glazed carrots, crispy kale and tender-stem broccoli £12.50 per person, with desserts and extras to add on as well. Chester Arms, East Oxford has just relaunched its Sunday Lunch Takeaway Menu which includes nut roast wellington, overnight slow-roasted pork belly with crackling, roast beef or rosemary and garlic free-range chicken leg with bread sauce, all of which come with all the trimmings for £14, and children portions for half price. The Kitchen Farnborough is now offering a Sunday roast for you to reheat at your convenience. This week it’s slow roasted belly pork with goose fat roast potatoes, honey roasted roots and greens, cauliflower cheese, gravy and apple sauce plus a chocolate bread and croissant bread and butter pudding with lashings of custard. £18 per person. Woodstock Arms, Woodstock – once again offering their Sunday roast boxes. From roast beef, roast chicken and a nut roast to children’s boxes. All served with roast potatoes, buttered greens, roast root vegetables, red wine gravy, & Yorkshire pudding. Oxfordshire Yeoman, Freeland – has recently been taken over and if offering Sunday roast takeaways. Choose from chicken, beef, pork or a nut roast with apricot and goat cheese (vegan option also available on request). Paul Hughes and Anna Munday have taken on the Oxfordshire Yeoman pub in Freeland

Wild Rabbit, Kingham – has a superb Sunday lunch takeaway from 12pm-3pm collection only. Choose from a classic roast beef or a vegetarian pithivier both served with organic vegetables from Daylesford. The pizza takeaway menu is also available on Sunday until 8pm. Email or phone on 01608 658389. 

Oxford Arms, Kirtlington, has reintroduced its EAT OUT AT HOME menu for Sunday Lunch, collection on the day between 12noon-2pm. From a 28-day aged roast rib of Oxfordshire beef with gravy, duck fat roasted potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and vegetables of the day, to a Roast leg of Oxfordshire lamb with duck fat roasted potatoes and French-style peas, Roasted butternut squash and Stilton risotto or even a monkfish and king prawn Madras curry with rice and mango chutney. Plus puddings such as Oxford Arms sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce and clotted cream or lemon meringue pie. Pre-order only by 6pm Thursday.

Horse and Groom, Caulcott isn’t going to let a simple thing like a flood put them off. (READ ABOUT IT HERE Their takeaways are back, boasting a magnificent Sunday lunch. From a slow roasted brisket with Yorkshire puddings, homemade horseradish sauce and all the trimmings, to a vegetable wellington and even a seared sea trout, hake and spinach toumedo, followed by treacle tart, sticky pudding and of course cheese. Sunday 12-2pm.

Waggon and Horses, Southmoor, has just started a Sunday roast takeaway from 12-2pm of roast rump of beef or roast leg of lamb with all the trimmings for £15 a head. You can even throw in a sticky toffee pudding! To order, call from 3pm Wednesday-Saturday and 11am Sunday. 01865 823316.

The Hand and Shears, Church Hanborough, Witney. It’s famous Sunday Roasts are now available for takeaway via pre order only. Killingworth Castle, Wootton near Woodstock. The gastro pub’s epic roast is back with offerings such as Roast Sirloin Of Shorthorn Beef – with roast potatoes, local roots, winter greens, Yorkshire pudding and gravy (£14) to Vegetarian Wellington – Spiced red lentil & butternut squash, roast potatoes & veg, greens and vegetarian gravy (£12) and even a KIDS roast beef/veggie Wellington – (£10). Lamb Inn, Crawley has just started its new Sunday roast offering to great success. £25 per head for three courses and £20 for two. Starters include deep fried brie and cranberry chutney or potted clams tarragon, cayenne and crostini. For mains opt for roast cracked pork, roast rump of beef or a veggie wellington. Greyhound, Letcombe Regis is back in the takeaway game from March with a great Sunday roast. Choose from Roast Longhorn beef sirloin, Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings £14, Roast Oxford Sandy Black pork belly, Yorkshire pudding, all the trimmings £14, hazelnut and walnut roast, Yorkshire pudding, all the trimmings £14 and a child’s portion of any Sunday roast coming in at £8. For dessert try the sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch sauce and cream £6 or chocolate delice £6.

The Crown, Woodstock – get in from noon – 4pm every Sunday for a fab roast beef (£15) or nut roast (£13) with all the trimmings.

The Anchor, North Oxford is back with their epic roast. Choose from roast beef, roast chicken or a vegetarian wellington with all the trimmings from 12 noon -4pm.
