“If you love what we do and are able to help see us through the Coronavirus pandemic then it would be just great if you could get involved,” so speaks Drew Brammer whose pubs The Jolly Postboys and The Red Lion in Eynsham are currently crowdfunding to survive the current crisis.

You can pledge money towards everything from a DJ set to a party, family roast, drinks, a brewery tour or even dinner for two now, to enable the Jolly Postboys to continue.

But the Jolly Postboys crowdfunder finishes tomorrow, with over £10,000 of the needed £12,000 already raised. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/jollypostboys

“We are looking for people to pre-buy their experiences with us, simply so that we can see it through the coming months. Cash flow will be the biggest issue for small independent businesses like ours, so this is a way of keeping us afloat through such uncertain times,” Drew explains.

“No one knows what the future will bring so please only support us if your own business, job or financial situation is secure,” he adds.

Drew and George who run the two establishments, opened The Jolly Postboys 3.5 years ago in Florence Park transforming it into a real community hub. The Red Lion in Eynsham followed in 2018.

“We set about doing what we love doing (and do best) by trying to create the perfect ‘local’, run by two lads (Drew and George) that love pubs and people by providing an innovative drinks and food offering with top notch service in a sociable space for the community,” he continues.

“Our guests have been more supportive than we could have ever hoped for. Our guests love what we do and we’re always busy.”

Once this is all over of course you can redeem your vouchers and return to The Postboys to celebrate life and the world returning to normal.

The Red Lion in Eynsham’s £5000 crowdfunding target has three more days to go.

“It’s been fantastic to see our friends and regulars support their local pub by giving so generously to our crowdfunder. By buying things in advance it gives us a real chance of coming out the other side of these weird times,” Drew adds.
