Oxford Shakespeare Festival is coming to an end this weekend at Oxford Castle & Prison after an eight week season.

But don’t worry if you have missed out on the fun. You can still catch Siege Theatre’s Twelfth Night, which runs until Saturday August 10.

The open air theatre festival showcases some of Oxford’s most talented theatre companies. as three of the Bard’s best loved productions werel brought to life against the dramatic backdrop of the historic castle walls and Saxon tower.

The annual festival has become a popular fixture of the local arts calendar, pulling in audiences of over 7,000 people each year.

And to round it all off, Siege Theatre’s Twelfth Night is “painfully funny and hopelessly romantic.”

Shakespeare’s tale of love, loss and laughter will see some of the Bard’s most unforgettable characters brought to life.

It tells the story of twins Viola and Sebastian who are shipwrecked on the mysterious land of Illyria and all seems lost.

The story of Twelfth Night is packed with mix-ups, mistaken identities and muddled meanings…
