Today, Oxfordshire’s Killingworth Castle in Wootton by Woodstock, The Double Red Duke in Clanfield and The Bull at Charlbury were named in the national ‘EstrellaDamm Top 50 Gastropubs‘ with The Bell at Langford landing in the Top 100.
Just down the road on the Oxfordshire borders, The Fox at Oddington READ OUR REVIEW HERE, The Halfway at Kineton and The Horse & Groom in Upper Oddington also came in the Top 100.
Claire Alexander of Killingworth Castle said: “We felt like we won the jackpot! This award is the holy grail for our industry and foodies! To get 45th in the national awards has been amazing. The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub Awards are voted for by 350 hospitality industry experts from across the UK. As well as the core 50 list of the best pubs, the 51-100 list further highlights culinary excellence within the pub industry.
