Check out the new look The Living Room Cinema in Chipping Norton, the much anticipated boutique cinema due to open this summer.

And while these pictures are just artist impressions, they give a pretty good idea of what’s to come when the two screen cinema opens in the historic former Harpers department store, which had been empty for years.

Expect a cafe bar, a diverse screening programme from blockbusters to a Live Events series featuring rock and pop concerts, opera, ballet, theatre from the National Theatre and the Exhibition on Screen series.

Another highlight will be the In Conversation With series with some big stars, as well as accessible and inclusive films some of which will be subtitled, audio described, autism friendly plus parent and baby screenings.

The Living Room – an artist’s impression

The film programme promises to be diverse – popular and award-winning new releases, independent titles, family films, documentaries, foreign language and arthouse gems.

So start planning ahead with summer blockbusters including Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Asteroid City and Barbie.

Founder and CEO, Claire Beswick says: As we enter the final phase of our work I’m delighted we are able to share some of the finer details. It is a privilege to be creating such a unique cinema experience for the community of Chipping Norton and we cannot wait to open our doors and to welcome each and every one of you.”
