While we are all wrapping presents and singing carols this month, caterers Sam Rainbird and Dan Allen from Gravy & Custard will be racing around Oxfordshire delivering our Christmas dinners.

The Oxfordshire caterers, based in Watlington, have launched a whole series of Christmas catering options meaning all you will have to do on Christmas Day is the washing up!

“This year has been challenging for everyone across our community, especially as the current restrictions and Tier 2 restrictions may mean people can’t celebrate with extended family and friends,” Sam said.

“Our Christmas Delivered offering will ensure that you can still treat yourselves and the ones you love to a fantastic Christmas dinner, hamper or celebration menu fully prepared and delivered to your front door,” she says.

The Christmas Meal Boxes will ensure that not only is Christmas hassle free but you will also be helping to keep Gravy & Custard in business during these unprecedented times.

There are four Christmas Food Boxes to choose from: A Christmas Day Lunch Box, A Festive Celebration Menu, A Festive Lunch or Supper Hamper (a cold spread perfect for lunch or supper on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day, or the Festive Treats Hamper foft sweet and savoury treats.

“Every dish ordered from us will be delivered fully prepared and cooked, in recyclable containers with clear and detailed instructions for heating and serving,” Sam explains.

“Instructions will include detailed timings to finish off the meals and a list of any kitchen equipment needed (such as saucepans and baking trays) with plenty of photos of the dishes.”

Temperature controlled deliveries will be made by the Gravy & Custard Team between Saturday 19 December and Wednesday 23 December. The Festive Celebration Menu Box and Festive Treats Hampers are available from tomorrow. (December 7)

Gravy & Custard will also be releasing a series of videos to help with step by step videos on plating each dish.

“We did all the filming in our best Christmas Jumpers of course!” Sam laughs.  

“So while we can’t be in our customers kitchens this Christmas serving them and their loved ones our beautiful food, the next best thing will be having their food delivered from us and our virtual chef videos there to guide them along to present the food with love,” Sam adds.
