Comedy stars Rachel Parris, Abi Clarke and Chelsea Birkby, Daman Bamrah and Nick Page are hitting the Oxford Playhouse this Saturday (January 14) as part of Oxfordshire Mind Comedy Gala.
Aided by Jericho Comedy’s Alex Farrow as MC, the Comedy Gala is an eagerly awaited fixture in Oxford’s comedy calendar hosted by Jericho Comedy, which has raised £100,00 for the mental health charity over the years.
“The Oxfordshire Mind Comedy Gala is like a second Christmas for Jericho Comedy, it’s a jolly day that comes once a year when over 1000 people come along for a fantastic day of comedy,” Jericho Comedy’s Harry Househam says. “Doing your bit whilst having a laugh, is the definition of win-win!”

Previously hosting big names such as Nish Kumar, Rosie Jones, James Acaster, Rachel Parris, Ivo Graham, Ed Gamble, and Hal Cruttenden, this year’s line-up will only add to the stellar names.
Rachel Parris is a BAFTA nominated comedian, musician actor and improviser, best known for The Mash Report. Meanwhile, Abi Clarke brings a fresh new take on stand-up comedywith a large social media following to match. Clarke took the internet by storm in 2020, amassing over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok.
Returning to the gala, Chelsea Birkby talks frankly and hilariously about the nature of mental health. Rising star Daman Bamrah has emerged from the London circuit with energy, raw wit and heart and will feature in the matinee performance, while Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Nick Page, winner of English Comedian of the Year, joins the line-up that evening.
