The winter wonderland that is Christmas at Blenheim Palace will return for its fifth year from November, despite the upheaval of the pandemic and its new social distancing rules.

Blenheim Palace Operations Director Heather Carter says: “Clearly this has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone and we hope the trail will help provide people with some much-needed fun and wonder over the festive period.

“So we’re delighted to have the hugely popular illuminated outdoor trail for Christmas at Blenheim Palace back for its fifth year in November.

“This year’s illuminated trail will feature a series of exciting new features and, in the first few days since we announced its return, we had more than 8,000 bookings,” she adds.

For those yet to visit, the illuminated outdoor trail boasts a winterland adventure set amidst a world of trees, dramatically illuminated with stunning lights, set in the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.

Featuring incredible lasers and light projections, visitors make their way through magical tree canopies drenched in seasonal colour and dripping with silvery shards of light, frosty snowflakes, stars and baubles.

New trail highlights for 2020 include Heart of the Stars, a scented water terrace fire garden and Will-O-The-Wisps.

You can also expect the favourite hillside Sea Of Light, Tunnel of Light and seasonal food and gifts, enhanced by a soundtrack of festive classics and Blenheim’s unique tree canopies drenched in Christmas colour.

The trail is brought to you one again by leading events promoter Raymond Gubbay Limited and created by Culture Creative.
