All you budding photographers out there need to polish your lenses because The International Garden Photographer of the Year has relaunched a unique special award in partnership with Blenheim Palace.

The special award will accompany a major International Garden Photographer of the Year outdoor exhibition at Blenheim Palace in 2020.

The free-to-enter award, Beautiful Blenheim, aims to celebrate the many stunning areas of the estate through photography encouraging tourists and the local community to take part.

From ancient woodlands and Sites of Special Scientific Interest to the 2,000-acre ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped Parkland, there are countless opportunities for photographers of all skill levels.

Beautiful Blenheim opens for entries until April 8 2020.

Selected winners will feature at the 2020 exhibition at Blenheim Palace and will be published in the latest IGPOTY annual book. First place prizes also include a private tour of Blenheim Palace and a champagne afternoon tea for two plus a delightful Blenheim Palace hamper.

James McGlinchey, Exhibitions Manager of International Garden Photographer of the Year said: “We’re thrilled to relaunch both a special award and exhibition partnership with Blenheim Palace, which possesses one of the world’s greatest and most celebrated landscapes.

The previous competition’s winners showcased the beauty and majesty of Blenheim through unique perspectives, inspiring visitors and planting the seed for future entrants. I greatly anticipate the next winning works.”

Heather Carter, Operations Director at Blenheim commented: “We are delighted to be working with the International Garden Photographer of the Year, not only in hosting their fabulous outdoor exhibition, but we are also thrilled to give photographers the opportunity to capture the beauty of Blenheim Palace for our own special award.

“We are excited to see how people are inspired by this unique landscape.”
